“I’m so sorry,” he whispered, drawing his arms closer to himself.
Anna stayed silent and didn’t keep her eyes off of him, lips pressed in a thin, straight line. Soon she let out an exasperated breath and turned away, face solemn and stony.
Her words stung, even though they were true. He had tried so hard to protect her from himself—the monster who froze the kingdom and who froze his sister. However, the king didn’t realize that he only made things worse.
“Anna, look what I’ve done to you…” he whispered, his voice catching.
"Oh– I know what you’ve done to me…“
Anna fixated a cold glare at the other, hands hanging at her sides. ”I know good and well…“
Elsa smirked at how she was trying to one up her. Trying to be independent and show that she can be more powerful. Elsa just walked closer with her hands laced together.
”Listen here little sis. You may prove to me and everyone else you can not be treated like an joke, But you must not forget. I am powerful than you physically and mentally. Prove me wrong, But at the end of the day. I am one step ahead of you.”
"Well we’ll just have to see about that…“ She finally calmed and placed her hands behind her back, icy blue eyes still glaring at the other.
What frustrated her was that she was right. She was stronger than her physically and possibly mentally as well, but that wouldn’t stop her just yet. It seemed like the only way to overpower her at some angle was to take the throne for herself, as cliche as that may sound. But…could she really get away with something like that? She furrowed her brows in thought.
The amusement she got from this– the calmness in her voice…it sickened her, made her blood boil with pure hatred and rage. She gritted her teeth and tried her hardest to calm herself, glare almost as icy as her heart was.
”I’m going to be the person who shows everyone that I’m more than what I appear to be. And I’m gonna prove that I am, and when I do, you and everyone else will regret laughing in my face like I’m some kind of damn joke…“ Yes, she would prove to her, to everyone that she was not invisible, more than just a spare, more than the useless princess everyone thought she was. She’d prove them wrong.
“No, Anna. I’d expect us to work things out. It doesn’t have to be like this!”
”It always has been like this!“
She wants to forgive– she wants to forgive him so badly but she just can’t. All her life she’s felt so…so unloved and hurt that all of the forgiveness, faith, and even trust she had in him has ceased to exist.
”You have no excuses of why you’ve neglected me all these years– and so I’m done. I’ve given up on you years ago, anyways….“
